I Am Completely Dissapointed

I was very disappointed with my Doctor's appointment yesterday because my appointment was supposed to be at 9:30 am, but I went there early cause I still have to fill up some papers, since I was a new patient. To be honest I never been to a doctor since I got here in the US. Yesterday was a complete disappointment because I waited for over 2 hours before they call me. I got so tired of waiting, so I go to the receptionist and ask her what was going on why I haven't been called but only to find out they haven't forwarded my record to the doctor. Guess what happen after that? they finally called my name but the doctor only spend 10 minutes to check what was wrong with my leg and my face, and then he told me that it was a spider bite and he squeeze my legs so hard that I end up shouting because I can't hold the pain. I also ask the doctor if the cause of my swollen leg is the spider bite why I keep getting them, but he didn't give me any good answer. I also have no idea why he thinks its a spider bite. Honestly I really doubt that this is a spider bite because it has been four times already that I have this thing. I just want to find out what was the cause of the swollen, so that I can prevent from having it next time. Oh well, I just have to wait until after taking the prescription that he gave me.

i think its enough reason to go and consult with another doctor to get a 2nd opinion. from what you described, your current one doesn't have a clue.

I agree with jonas j. and think you should get a second opinion. I know what you mean about having to wait two hours--that's how it always was when I took my dad to his doctor. It was very upsetting indeed. Not all doctors are like that though. The one I go to is very good. The longest we ever had to wait was about 20 min. which was rare--usually it's only about a ten minute wait.
