Prevent your insomnia
Since my husband had his surgery I can’t seem to get enough sleep. I am already having an insomnia but I tried my best to prevent it. But there are times that I couldn’t do anything about it and it really upsets me because I really want to get the right amount sleep each day, so I am not so cranky.
I think everybody knows that insomnia can be temporary, or persist for weeks. Insomnia does not refer to the number of hours you sleep. What counts is whether you wake up refreshed and able to function the next day. This morning I was looking for some tips on how to help me prevent of a luck of sleep.
First tips: is to get a god exercise for at least 30 minutes preferably in the afternoon and not during the four to six hours before bedtime, and never just before you go to sleep. You sleep better when your body temperature is low, and exercise raises it. Body temperature normally rises during the day and falls at night, but in someone with insomnia, there is less temperature spread; they are not as warm in the daytime or as cool at night. If you warm your body with a workout in the late afternoon, it will cool down when you are ready for sleep.
Second tips: If you smoke, do not smoke before bedtime Nicotine is a stimulant; it raises blood pressure, makes the heart beat faster, and causes your brain to be more active.
Third tips: Avoid heavy eating at bed time, if you want to satisfy your hunger just eat a light snack and avoid heavy, spicy, or high-fat foods because They can increase gastric acidity and give you indigestion.
Fourth tips: Keep your bedroom temperature cooler than the rest of your home. This will help you also to keep your body temperature lower especially during the summer time.
Five Tips: Eat proper food such as salad, fruits, vegetables, whole grain, and fiber and foods that are low in fat, this will contribute to good health and good sleep.
Six tips: remove any clocks that that chime or click loudly from your bedroom. If your favorite timepiece isn’t noisy, you may keep it in the bedroom, but not where you can see it. You don’t want to be reminded, as you toss and turn, how late it is. If you live near an airport or on a busy street, buy yourself some earplugs. Soundproof windows are expensive, and won’t do much good if you open them for fresh air during the night.
Seventh tips: our body likes a regular schedule so as much as possible go to bed at the same time every night. Don’t sleep late during the weekends, even though it so tempting because this can also upset your body clock.
Eight tips: If you wish to take sleeping pills, you should consult your physician first to see if sleeping pills is the right thing for you.

Good list of way to avoid insomnia. Out of eight points, I can use 6 of it.
Pills is a no no way for me. I prefer to get myself tired reading books before sleep.
And, I don't smoke.
I wish you have a good night sleep. Maybe, you can ask your parents or his parents help to take turn and take care of your husband.
